Thoughts That Stay With You

It's always hard to close a show.  No matter what character you play, you always feel like you are leaving a part of yourself behind that you discovered during the rehearsals and the run.  Yes, in Cabaret, which closed this past weekend,  I played a part that is basically the exact opposite of who I am as a person, however, I know at some point in my life something will remind me of the character.  Actually, today I was reminded of another character I played this past year: Beth in Little Women.  Today I was walking to the boat just as the sun was setting and it reminded me so much of the calmness I felt when I was singing the final lines about the ocean in "Some Things Are Meant To Be".
